House of Chow is an Adelaide institution. You’d be hard pressed to find a South Australian who hasn’t eaten there or at least been told of their delicious fare and friendly team.

Situated at 82 Hutt Street on the corner of Hutt and Wakefield, House of Chow’s reputation has been built on quality and service, winning them multiple American Express and Boral Energy Awards.

Founded in 1983, House of Chow has become an icon of Adelaide’s dining establishments and is a favourite for dine in and takeaway Asian cuisine.

David and Roz Chow run House of Chow on Hutt Street and have gone to great lengths to create not only an aesthetically pleasing ambience but also the best in Asian gourmet cuisine.

“It is our mission to maintain our service and standard of food to hopefully keep return clientele,” Roz says. “We treat our customers as friends. We have a lot of loyal customers who become friends.”

As well as being friendly, the team at House of Chow also look after their customers’ dietary needs, with gluten free options available, especially for Coeliacs, making them the number one gluten free Chinese restaurant in Adelaide.

A stalwart of Hutt Street, House of Chow was originally across the road, but moved to their new home in October 1990 and continued to offer the same high level service that won them Best Chinese Restaurant in SA in 2014 and an award for Excellence as Best Chinese Restaurant in Australia.
