The Hutt Street Traders Association are seeking artists to showcase their original works during the SALA Festival 2025 for an exhibition titled “Your Corner.”
HSTA are celebrating our local artists for a week long exhibition. We will select 10 artists to come together in a gallery style showcase, demonstrating a variety of mediums in an elegant space on Hutt Street.
What is involved?
Being part of “Your Corner” means great exposure for your artist journey!
- SALA spotlight: The exhibition will be featured on the official SALA website, venue map locations, and in both printed and online guides.
- Opening night party: Artists are invited to be present for opening night on Saturday, 23 August. We will have drinks and nibbles with live music to provide the perfect atmosphere for you to mingle with guests and other artists. Please invite friends and family to attend both opening night and the exhibition.
- Public viewing: The exhibition will be open to the public from 10 am to 2 pm between 24 August to 30 August.

Key dates to remember
- Applications close: 2 August
- Exhibition dates: 24 – 30 August, 10 am – 2 pm daily
- Opening night: Saturday, 23 August – for artists to exhibit their work in a casual meet and greet style event.
Note: artists are required to set up and pack down their works prior to and after the exhibition. Further details will come once applications and installation details have been assessed.

We’re seeking applications from local artists who working in these mediums:
- First Nations art
- Paintings
- Drawings
- Sculptures
- Digital art
- Ceramics or glass art
- Installation art
- Photography
- Textile art
- Furniture design.

Submit up to 5 of your artworks through our online form.
Please include:
- Clear pictures of your artwork(s)
- Measurements
- Any special setup needs for your art
- How long you require for installation
- A short explanation about your work
- Pricing if you wish for your artwork to be available to purchase. (Note: artwork sales will incur a 30% commission to HSTA)
HSTA will select one artwork from each chosen artist in each medium.
